Black Memory is a collaboration with Ethnografiska Museet, The National Black Theatre of Sweden and Vic Bassey. Based on a series of pictures that reflect the presence of African and Afro Swedish people in Swedish society. Memories of the African diaspora through different lenses – ‘’remember us, and we will never be forgotten. ‘’

Exhibition of photographs at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Vällingby curated by Etnografiska Museet and The National Black Theatre of Sweden. This is open to the public.

Seminar Friday 16th
There will be a panel discussion with Ellen Nyman, actress, director and PhD at Stockholms University of arts together with Michael Barett, head of African studies, writer and researcher at Ethnografiska Museum Sweden. The panel discussion focuses on the role of history and memory.
